by hiring a Professional AND experienced Home Stager

Here are some great
Home Staging Tips
for this month:
-
Set your listing price by utilizing area comparables, not based upon
what you personally think your house is worth. You need a neutral
party to help you price your home to SELL!
-
Put personal collections away someplace safe. You want to make your
home look like you are ready to move quickly and nothing “personal”
is distracting the buyer from viewing your house as if it could be
their next home.
-
Invest in a fresh coat of paint and get 150 percent back on your
investment.
-
Fix all running toilets, dripping faucets and squeaking doors.
-
Remember that "outside" is the new "inside." Show off all of your
living spaces. The advantage to living in Florida is that we get to
take advantage of our outdoor spaces for most of the year. Decorate
outside as if it is part on your inside space.
-
Consult with us to see how neutrality and spaciousness are made to
feel so inviting.
-
Grind a lemon in the garbage disposal – it smells great and it's
such great exercise.
-
Add greenery to the space. Well-made faux greenery is perfectly
acceptable in Florida. In fact, because of our lack of water, most
people only use silks indoors.
-
Give your entrance a facelift by painting your front door a color
that previews the interior color scheme.
-
Shine or replace the door hardware.
-
Keep your day job. Hire us to prepare your home for sale.

Don’t leave
your house vacant if you have to move before you sell! Most people
don’t have a very good imagination. They can’t see past the vast
emptiness of a vacant house. We can help you Stage your vacant
property.
The Future of Color – Think Citrus
|

|
The Color Association of America, the leading industry
forecaster for Interior Design Colors has released its report on
Color Forecasting for 2009/2010. The message is “Think
Citrus.” The new color combinations (believe it, or not) are
Kiwi Green And Orange. If you get catalogs in the mail from
companies such as Ballard Designs, Design Toscano and others,
you will start to see these color combinations immerging. Pick
up any Interior Decorating magazine and take a look at the rooms
they are showing. Yes, the colors are citrus. |
This is
great for us Floridians because we tend to decorate in brighter more
cheerful colors based on our geographic location. This is a drastic
color scheme change from the past few years where we saw a lot of
chocolate brown combined with various shades of blue. You may want to
consider bringing in some of the citrus colors in accent pieces to
replace the blues. Brown is still neutral enough that is will parlay
into this new wave of color. As you become more confident in your
choices, start to consider a fresh coat of paint in one of the hundreds
of citrus color selections. If you are not sure where to begin, please
contact us to help you with your color choices and adding some freshness
to your décor. |
